One of the things I love most about art is the interpretation of it; the exploration of all the different mediums I can use to express myself through it is a close second. For most of my life, I have painted, sketched, carved, molded, burned, photographed, glued, sewn, written, sung, danced, and crafted to fulfill inspired visions. What I didn’t realize until about ten years ago was how that expression didn’t just end there.
I was viewing some photos I had taken and began noticing crosses in them. They weren’t “crosses”, but they were shadows, pieces of pipe, and even random objects I had shot—all forming crosses. A few years ago, I was blessed to come upon a friend painting “prophetic” art, and my whole perspective was changed permanently! You see, when we express ourselves creatively, others then can receive that and be blessed in more ways than we can imagine. Our Creator is amazing and has given us the means to give and receive.
The next time you are out and about and see, hear, feel, smell, or taste something out of the ordinary, take time to receive it, think about it, and thank God for passing His blessing on to you through it.
Amen and Amen,
Chris Parker
