Epistle to RiverStone April 30, 2026

Hello Church Family,

We had a wonderful night at the prayer and worship yesterday. It was a perfect place of God showing up in a powerful way. We were able to spend time worshiping, praying and being in God’s presence. So many times our schedules get very full and very busy. We try to make time to worship, pray and read the Bible but something always seems to come up. We sometimes make excuses and say after this “season” of life is over I will make time, but the unfortunate part of life is that we go from season to season and if we aren’t careful the time never appears. We just keep running and realize that we aren’t as close to God as we used to be. Praying, worshiping and reading our Bible seem like something we used to do a long time ago and don’t feel as important to us. Sometimes we decide that going to church, being involved in life groups, going to Sunday School aren’t that important either. We began to stray away from God and the Church.

Hebrews 12:23-25 says it best:

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

May I encourage you today to spend some time in prayer, worship, and reading the Bible. Get involved with a life group, Sunday school group or other ministry in the church. Reach out to someone you haven’t seen in a while and invite them back to join you for worship. Connect back into the life of the church here at RiverStone. If you don’t know where to start, email me here and I’ll help you to get started in the right direction. We aren’t meant to live this life alone and are called to be in community as the body of Christ.

What step is God calling you to today as you reconnect with the life of the church or reconnect with someone who has disconnected from the church?

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Jeremy
