Esther

In this continuation of "You're Never Too Far," Chris Parker turns to the story of Esther, an orphan in exile who became queen of Persia just as a decree threatened to destroy her people. When the moment came to act, Esther asked her people to fast and pray for three days before she risked her life with the words, "If I perish, I perish." God honored her courage with favor before the king, and her enemy's plot was turned back on him, saving the Jews and giving us the feast of Purim. Like Esther, we often let fear of the worst-case scenario keep us from trusting God, but He promises to be with us always, and nothing can separate us from His love.
