Established in December of 2014, Overflow is a place where people can gather together, visit with others, and obtain household goods and clothing for the whole family without cost. It is called a “free store” because store items are free. ITEMS ARE FOR PERSONAL USE -- NOT RESALE.
While not required, we welcome our members and surrounding community to “overflow” by donating items or sharing their time serving others during shopping or donation hours. The Overflow Free Store directors and helpers are all volunteer; no paid positions. Overflow
operates entirely on private and public support, and through grants as well.
From our start in December 2014, the OFS has “overflowed” over 1 Million pieces of clothing and household items, valued at over $3 Million. Since its inception, we have served over 6,500 families, which translates to over 19,000 individuals, in and around San Juan County.
