Hello Church Family,
This past Sunday we launched a new 3-week series called, Good. God. Gospel. Jesus is the ultimate example of how to have conversations with people. Jesus was able to take conversations from Good, to God conversations and lead them to Gospel conversations. We talked this past Sunday about Good conversations. We talked about what it means to have good conversations with the people around us.
Most of us interact with people on a regular basis. Some of those interactions are brief and others are longer. Most of the time we don’t think about those interactions and what impact they may have. What if we took the time to have good conversations with people? What if we didn’t rush from one thing to another but took time to get to know people? What if we looked at every person we met and saw their value as being made in the image of God? What kind of impact would that have on our community and the world if we were a people who cared for our neighbors and not just the people we like?
Every time we have an interaction with someone, we decide what that interaction may look like. It can be rushed or hostile if we go into the conversation in a hurry or ready to fight. It can be peaceful and life-giving if we go into the[CP1] conversation with the goal of hearing another person’s story. We can’t control how someone responds to us, but we can control how we respond to them.
Let us be a people who live lives that are holy, set apart from the world. May we be an example of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ with everyone we meet.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Jeremy
