Epistle to RiverStone May 28, 2026

Hello Church Family,

We just finished our Faith Renewed series. I hope you have been as encouraged as I have as we look at what God is calling us to and who He is calling us to be. I became a follower of Jesus Christ at four years old and I have learned over the last 40 plus years of following Jesus the importance of spending time with God. I have to be diligent in my prayer time, my Bible reading and in being in relationship with other followers of Jesus Christ. It’s easy to get burned out or for the flame of faith to get dimmed. As I trust God and spend time seeking Him, God can fuel the fire in my life that is burning for Him.

My prayer is that as we seek God as a church family, that he re-ignites the passion for Him and for reaching our community. We are called to be salt and light to our community, as we shine brightly the light of Jesus Christ throughout San Juan County and beyond. We must ask ourselves: are we being obedient to the Holy Spirit? We are called to be a people of prayer who love God, follow Jesus and serve others. We must be willing to be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s guiding as we live out those values. Sometimes being obedient to the Holy Spirit can be taking a step of faith. Sometimes we are called to do hard things. If we have accepted the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, we have the Holy Spirit inside of us. The Holy Spirit is always speaking to us, the question is are listening and are we willing to obey?

My prayer for each of us is that we spend so much time with God that we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading and are willing to obey.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Jeremy
