Epistle to RiverStone July 2, 2026

Hello Church Family,

We are officially halfway through 2026 and I have officially been your pastor for 6 months now. This is a great time for us to look back over the first 6 months of the year and look forward to the next 6 months of the year. The first 6 months had some difficult decisions to be made, staffing changes, and some people who left the church. But the first 6 months has also had visitors nearly every week, new people who have joined RiverStone as regular attendees, welcoming a new member, 2 baptisms, a renewed sense of joy, renewed sense of community, a growing prayer community and a dedication to following the Holy Spirit.

So many times when we look back we can focus on only the negative things that have occurred. It is easy to get caught up in the negativity of life and never see how God is moving or working. But when I look back over the last 6 months I am humbled by how God has been moving in our local church and throughout our community. God is moving in the life of His people called RiverStone and moving in the lives of the people in our community. God continues to show up in powerful ways at RiverStone Church and will continue to show up. I am thankful for how the Holy Spirit continues to change hearts and turn them towards God.

I think the next 6 months will continue to be met with some challenges, but overall, I believe that we will continue to see growth not only in the people that call RiverStone home but in the lives of the people who are part of RiverStone. We will be launching new life groups this fall, starting new ministries, and beginning new ways of reaching out to our community. If we continue to be a people of prayer who are guided by the Holy Spirit, we won’t be able to imagine what God will do in the next 6 months.

I am thankful for the first half of this year and look forward with eager anticipation of how God will move over the next 6 months. If you have been praying for me, the leadership, and this church, please continue to pray. If you haven’t begun praying, please start now. Everything we do needs to be guided through prayer and listening to the Holy Spirit.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Jeremy
