Epistle to RiverStone July 16, 2026

Hello Church Family,

Hopefully you have been enjoying the sermon series on spiritual disciplines. I have been re-reading the book “Celebration of Discipline” with you as I prepare for my sermon each week. It has been a good reminder that I still have lots to learn about God and have room to grow in my faith. Maybe you are like me, and you have learned about spiritual disciplines before. Hopefully this has been a good refresher for you. Maybe this is your first time hearing about spiritual disciplines. I pray that these sermons and the book have been challenging to you.

We are all walking this journey of faith together. While we are on this side of eternity we will continue to grow in our faith and learn more about God’s character. The journey isn’t always easy. There are days we may be crawling; there are other days that we are running. The important thing is that we keep moving forward. We walk this journey together and sometimes we are called to lift each other up. Let us continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our church and in our community.

Hebrews 12:1–2 (ESV)

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Keep your eyes on Jesus as we run this race.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Jeremy
