Epistle to RiverStone January 2, 2026

Hello Church Family,

This is my first letter to you as your Lead Pastor. Me and my family are on a journey. A journey of faith and obedience. A journey that takes us from the comfort of our family and friends and to a new place. In Genesis 12, God calls Abram to leave his home and to go to the place that God will show him. Abram has to take a step of faith towards God but doesn’t know where the destination will be. We read more through Abram’s story that he has to continue to be faithful to God even when the promises may take years to accomplish. He has to keep moving forward no matter what may come against him.

We are all taking steps of faith together. We are on this journey together as a church family as we spread the light of Jesus Christ to the Farmington and surrounding communities. The journey may look different in the coming months and years. The question for all of us is will we be faithful to God and to his calling on our lives and on our church? Are we willing to take steps of faith forward not knowing where the destination may take us.

We must be faithful to the end and trusting God to lead the way. May I leave you with this promise from God’s Word, knowing that God is always faithful.

1 Thessalonians 5:23–24 (ESV)

“Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.”
