Richard Foster calls prayer the most central of the spiritual disciplines because it brings us into constant communion with the Father. Even the disciples, who walked with Jesus every day, had to ask him, "Lord, teach us to pray." In Luke 11, Jesus teaches us what to say and also invites us to trust God as our Father. He tells us to keep asking, seeking and knocking. If prayer feels hard for you, this message is a reminder that prayer is something we all learn over time.
